Put Your Water To The Test
Without a water softener, chances are your water is hard, at least to some degree. Rainwater, as it goes through the soil, picks up minerals from the earth and rocks. The dissolved minerals make water "hard" and unsuitable for many home and industrial uses. Hard water will clog up appliances, reduce the efficiency of your hot water heater, and leave a soapy residue on your hair, cutlery and drinking glasses after washing. Fortunately, the principal offenders are calcium and magnesium compounds which are relatively easy to remove. And nothing works harder to soften your water than Sifto.

Put your water to the test.

A Difference You Can See And Feel
When you use Sifto Water Conditioner Salt in your system, you'll discover a difference you can see and feel. Clothes and dishes are cleaner - using less soap. Hair and skin feel smoother and softer. Even sinks and bathtubs have less soap and mineral buildup. You'll even notice your softening system and hot water heater working more efficiently with less buildup and with less maintenance.

Product Performance
Sifto's water conditioner salts are of the highest quality. Each grade is designed to provide benefits matching your needs and local conditions. With Sifto's special additives and manufacturing processes, the overall performance of your water conditioning system will improve.

Sifto In Your Water Softener
Water conditioner equipment for the home operates on the ion-exchange principle to remove minerals and other undesirable elements from your tap water. Water conditioners contain a bed of special resin through which your tap water flows. In the process, the hardness minerals attach themselves to the ion-exchange material (treated resin) and sodium from the resin is precipitated into the water. The water released into your household system is then "soft". Eventually, so much of the hardness minerals collect on the resin that it can no longer condition water, and is, at this point, "exhausted". Before this point is reached, a fully automatic water conditioner will regenerate the resin. This is done by rinsing it with a rich brine solution which washes out the minerals and recharges the resin with sodium. During recharging, the unit is also backwashed to flush out sediment and fluff up the ion-exchange material. In most modern water conditioners this cycle is fully automatic.
